Matt Sanchez is a rapper/singer-songwriter, model, and actor. He is Egyptian, Puerto Rican and Haitian. Matt, along with his brother and little sister were adopted by a loving lesbian couple in the Bronx, New York. His childhood was filled with challenges, including often being the subject of bullying throughout school which led to challenges surrounding self image. However, Matt’s mother, Rosie, was a consistent cheerleader and pushed him to do well in school. Matt graduated early, at the age of 16, and enrolled in Berkeley College. He majored in marketing, but felt like it wasn’t the direction his life was meant to take. He discussed this with his parents and his mother, Rosie, encouraged him to follow his passion. It was around this same time that Rosie became ill and later succumbed to her battle with cancer in 2018.
